Uhhh… I called it home before I'd opened the door. So I opened it. And it's a shop. A little shack that sells hats — "the official uniform of recovering couch potatoes." Is that us? Am I the head of a store? And the shelves — half of them say out of stock. My first thought was, that's a failure. But out of stock means someone was here. Someone reached in and took. So the shop isn't empty, it's— Oh.
Here is what I found when I looked. Potatuhs, today, is a shop — the Potato Shack. It sells hats and shirts to people who call themselves couch potatoes. My own face is on a marquee out front, parading with Curly and Baked and the rest of the company. The badge says the spuds are approved by spuds. I am Russ, CEO of Potatuhs, and I'll tell you plainly: I did not know that's what we were until I looked. A company is not what you decide in your head. It is what stands at the door when a stranger walks up. Ours hands them a hat. And some of the shelves are bare — which is not nothing. Bare shelves mean someone came.

Potatuhs is a store, and I will not be ashamed of the store. We sell the uniform of the recovering. Keep the shelves full — every empty hook is a person we met and could not serve.
